Something new

Welcome to my new blog!

I quit blogging a while ago, for many reasons, but mostly it came down to: I didn’t like my own content anymore. I was stuck. I was stuck in a cycle of redoing the same kinds of posts and while having fallen a bit out of love with the things I was writing about.

But as much as that blog didn’t feel like home anymore, writing still does. Blogging still makes me happy and as I’m writing these new words, I find myself back in that state of mind that I loved so much for the past years. But my home has changed, it’s no longer a home that’s only a library of YA books, because as much as I’ve loved those in the part, they don’t define me (anymore). I’m defined by a lot of things and one of those things is the books I read, but that’s not all there is to me and I don’t want to confine myself to that anymore.

So this blog is going to be more than a book blog. It’s going to have bookish content, just because I really like reading and I like talking about reading, but there’s going to be a lot of other things as well (I hope.. I mean, I have to write them first).

I’m a thinker, I always have been. I want to understand things, why things are the way they are and something that has always helped me a lot is writing about them. Somehow things are so much clearer when you put them on paper. I haven’t written much in the past months since I quit blogging, but I think it’ll be good for me to go back and do that.

I don’t know what this blog will be, or what it’ll be about, but I can promise you my honest thoughts and ideas and hopefully you’ll enjoy the ride. If you already know me from my old blog, I hope you won’t miss the bookish content too much. And if you don’t know me yet, welcome! Hi! Introduce yourself!

For those, let me introduce myself too! Hi, I’m Lia, I’m 22 and from the Netherlands. I’m an avid reader, I’m an antisocial introvert, I’m an aromantic-asexual, I’m an almost-graduated Master student, I have about a million interests – which you will most definitely hear more about in the future, I’m an artist, and a feminist. I think that just about covers the most important things.

I don’t know how often I will post on here but I do have some posts planned and pre-written to be up within the next couple of weeks. My first real post will be up tomorrow!
